could my ring be vintage or from another country?
i have a ring with beautiful work even the odd granulation but not allot it has scroll work n leaf detailing very unique pattern looks like a really old piece of an art deco feel 2 it it has a mother of pearl inlaid in it i hear that it is labor intensive 2 inlay stones n other details

http://i382.photobucket.com/albums/oo265/Sexygurl300_2008/100_2996.jpg there is the back of it the way its stamped makes me wonder if its vintage or foreign not sure but i see the current rings have the 925 on the band or shank copy n paste 2 get the pics:)
Nikkole,
The reason for the 925 stamp on the shanks of the rings, is the current designation of 'sterling silver'. If the inside of the ring doesn't have it, it could be anywhere from 15 - 75 years old.
I doubt with the scroll work on it that it is any older than the thirty year mark. Those types of rings were highly popular in the 1980's and 1990's. As far as actual value, there is a plentiful supply of that genre around. Did someone give you the ring? If so, that would make it valuable to you because of its intrinsic value.
A lot of those types of jewelry, believe or not, were handled by QCV. They were and still are a major clearing house for different types of jewelry made all over the world.
Either way, if you are still curious, take it to a jeweler and they will be able to tell you more after they have seen it in person. They also have the scopes to see with clearer detail than a photo would show or you might be seeing first-hand.
It is a very pretty ring. If I were you, I'd make it vintage by keeping it in the family and handing it down.
